Former Spurs defender Vedran Corluka has this evening taken one of the worst penalties you’ll ever see as Lokomotiv Moscow lost 4-2 on penalties to Zenit St. Petersburg in the Russian Super Cup final.
The game was all square after 120 minutes at the Stadion Petrovskij after Igor Smolnikov’s late goal for Zenit had cancelled out Lokomotiv midfielder Oumar Niasse’s 28th minute opener.
After 30 minutes of extra time the teams could not be separated leaving the final to be decided by the dreaded penalty shootout.
While every player should be commended for agreeing to step up to take a penalty, I’m not so sure Lokomotiv Moscow fans will be so happy with Vedran Corluka’s decision making.
Watch this hilarious penalty for yourself.
