Barbra Joan Streisand (conceived Barbara Joan Streisand; April 24, 1942) is an American vocalist lyricist, creator, performing artist, film maker, and chief. She has won two Academy Awards,[1] eight Grammy Awards,[2] five Emmy Awards including one Daytime Emmy,[3] a Special Tony Award, an American Film Institute recompense, a Kennedy Center Honors award,[4] a Peabody Award,[4] four Golden Globes, and is among 17 performers who have won an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, and Tony Award.

She is one of the smash hit music craftsmen ever, with more than 71.5 million collections in the United States and 245 million records sold worldwide.[5] She is the top of the line female craftsman on the Recording Industry Association of America’s (RIAA) Top Selling Album Artists list, the main female recording craftsman in the main ten, and the main craftsman outside of the rock genre.[6]

In the wake of starting an effective recording vocation in the 1960s, before the decade’s over, Streisand wandered into film. She featured in the basically acclaimed Funny Girl, for which she won the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress.[7] Other prominent movies incorporate The Owl and the Pussycat, The Way We Were, and A Star Is Born, for which she got her second Academy Award for creating the music to the picture’s fundamental melody, “Evergreen”.[8]

As indicated by the RIAA, Streisand holds the record for the most main ten collections of any female recording craftsman – a sum of 33 since 1963,[9] and has discharged 52 Gold collections, 30 Platinum collections, and 13 Multi-Platinum collections in the United State.
